SWIM
Swimming, although physically the least taxing of the three triathlon disciplines, it is the most technically challenging and often the most daunting for many people.
Individual Sessions
I offer basic one-on-one sessions ($80/hr) for those just getting started. Includes analysis of stroke and basic drills to help correct major weaknesses.
Swim Squads
Once athletes become moderately fit and competant, I generally recommned a group squad. This provides a motivational group environment and regular technical oversight.
I recommend Ali Dennis from Fitness Goals.
I also swim with the Huia Masters Club (see Useful links) on a Sunday night. We also have regular technical support from swim coach Sarah Coles.
The Sea
The other scary component relating to the swim is the SEA. Two options for assistance in this area:
1. Trihards – This is an absolute beginners Triathlon group, which includes group sea swims.

2. Weekend Training Group – Our regular informal FREE weekend training group, generally includes a sea swim for some on a Saturday morning in the summertime. We bike through most of the year. Enter your details below if you wish to be included in the E-mail group.
